Review controls

  1. Look at the scale. The yellow box shows the detection's width and height in centimetres. ≈ means an estimated ground footprint. Use Thumbnail size to enlarge every photo, up to one per row. Fit detail enlarges small crops. Same pixel scale makes relative pixel sizes comparable; it does not compensate for different flight heights.
  2. Bird first pass. Review unreviewed detections as Bird, Not a detection, or Unsure. Bird leaves the species unset; Not a detection rejects rocks, shadows and background. Send real rubbish or other objects to an expert with Unsure. Needs identification opens the expert queue.
  3. Click to investigate. Open the surroundings, switch to a wider area, and zoom in. The outlined object is the one you are labeling.
  4. Sort what you see. Drag to a bin, or hover a photo and press its displayed key. Switch Birds / Rubbish to correct a detection from the wrong model.
  5. Keep uncertainty visible. Needs another look and unsure species stay out of resolved training labels. Confirm predictions only when you agree.

C confirms the predicted category and species in identification mode; it is disabled in Bird first pass. Space opens a focused photo. Esc cancels a species choice or closes the inspector. Ctrl + Z undoes your most recent saved label.

Review counts are detection counts. Deduplication across photos and surveys is a separate step before estimating island populations.
